The event will be jointly held by the Vietnam Trade Promotion Agency under the Ministry of Industry and Trade, the Chongqing’s Commerce Commission, along with other relevant agencies of both sides.

It will attract businesses specializing fresh fruits and vegetables, dried fruits, seeds, herbs, seafood (dried, frozen and canned), processed food and drinks (coffee, milk, fruit juice) and candy.

Located in the southwestern region of China, Chongqing is considered an important corridor that connects Southeast Asia with Central Asia and South Asia. Boasting a population of over 31 million and a total GDP of US$72.3 billion by the end of the first quarter, the region is widely regarded as a potential market for Vietnamese export commodities.
