Almost 97% of COVID-19 patients have fully recovered from the virus in Vietnam.

As of 6am on June 16, Vietnam has confirmed 334 coronavirus cases, of which 323 cases have gone on to make a full recovery, making up nearly 97% of the total. Among the remaining 11 patients, five cases have tested negative for the SARS-CoV-2 virus at least once.

As many as 194 cases that returned from coronavirus hit countries have been placed in quarantine as soon as they landed in Vietnam, posing no risk to the community.

The number of people who had close contact and returned from epidemic hit areas under quarantine has fallen to 9,234, with most of them being monitored at concentrated quarantine facilities.

The Ministry of Health reported that the British patient, the last foreign and most severe case in Vietnam, has been able to breathe for three days since being disconnected from a ventilator. He is completely conscious and can communicate well with doctors.

The patient has stopped using all antibiotics and has been given physical therapy twice a day.
